In 2013, Jim Thorpe senior signal caller Patrick Duvigneaud became just the second player in school history to be chosen to the Pennsylvania All State First Team, where he was selected at the Athlete position. And that’s exactly what Duvigneaud was in his career for the Olympians – an extraordinary athlete.
Duvigneaud’s dual-threat abilities helped him put up big numbers during the 2012-13 season. Duvigneaud threw for 1,729 yards and 16 touchdowns, while rushing for 876 yards and 15 touchdowns. For the 2012-13 season, Duvigneaud accounted for 81% of Thorpe’s total offense for the year.
Duvigneaud’s achievements on the gridiron have earned him a spot in the Jim Thorpe Hall of Fame Class of 2023.
