The Tamaqua Wireless Association hosts a successful Field Day.
The group made a total of 316 contacts with other stations during the event held from Schroeder’s Tree Farm in Barnesville.
“We had good food, light refreshments and some visitors. It was a great two days, and the weather was good,” said club member James Munley.
The group also honored club officer Karen Putt, New Ringgold.
She received a proclamation from the Schuylkill County Commissioners in recognition of her service as a net control operator, activities manager, VE tester and summer and winter field day coordinator.
The proclamation recognized Putt for her “organizational skills and her attention to every detail, her pleasant, kind thoughtful manner that she treats everyone with.”
It also proclaimed that the recent Field Day was held in her honor.
