Two persons were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday on Fredericks Grove Road in Mahoning Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said Amy L. Steigerwalt, 36, of Lehighton, and Josh P. Binder, 23, of Lansford, had minor injuries but were not transported to a medical facility after the crash.

They said Steigerwalt was driving a 2014 Ford Focus and Binder was a passenger. The vehicle was traveling east when Steigerwalt failed to maintain her lane of travel, swerving onto the southern shoulder of the road. Police said the car went into the front yard at 296 Fredericks Grove Road and continued for about 75 feet before striking a bush. It then crossed the driveway and struck an embankment, going airborne for about 10 feet before striking a tree and rolling onto its passenger side.

Steigerwalt was cited for the crash, police said.

They were assisted at the scene by Lehighton EMS and Schlier’s Towing.
