State police at Frackville reported several crashes:

• A woman was seriously injured in a crash on Interstate 81 at 7:20 a.m. June 10.

Police said Cecelia L Jerez, 20, of Wilkes-Barre was driving south on I-81 in a 2014 Jeep Compass when she lost control at mile marker 132.5. Police said she was traveling with a damaged left rear tire for about 2 miles.

She went off the highway and hit a tree with the left quarter panel. The Jeep rolled onto its roof and came to rest facing east off the left side of the southbound lanes.

Police said Jerez was flown to Lehigh Valley-Cedar Crest.

Ryan Township and Delano Township fire departments assisted at the scene along with Ryan Township EMS.

• A Virginia man was driving north in a 2022 Freightliner at mile marker 127 on Interstate 81 in Ryan Township when he moved over into the left lane. Timothy G. Thompson, 55, was struck by an unknown car that left the scene.

Police said the Freightliner had minor damage. Thompson was cited for the crash.
