State police at Fern Ridge
State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported on the following incidents:
• Police were summoned at 7:30 a.m. June 16 to a property on Shafer Road in Chestnuthill Township to investigate a potential endangerment incident.
Police said the referral came through the ChildLine registry when the mother of a 13-year-old Brodheadsville girl asked police to look into an incident that happened on June 15.
Police said her husband, from whom she is separated, has previously walked into the daughter’s room while she was changing and has entered the room without knocking several times before that.
Police said through their investigation it was learned the victim does not believe the man’s actions were done in a sexual intent manner. Police said the case has been closed.
• Lars Moe, 20, of Saylorsburg, was charged with terroristic threats and reckless endangerment after they were called to a disturbance at 3:59 p.m. June 8.
It happened at the intersection of Route 715 and Lake Mineola Road in Chestnuthill Township.
Police said Moe was taken into custody and transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, for processing. Court records say the charges were waived for court and he remains in prison, unable to post bail.
• Police were called at 6:18 p.m. June 20 to Marshall Lane, Chestnuthill Township, to look into a license plate issue.
Police said someone reported the plate is gone, however, police said it was not known whether the plate was stolen or lost.
• Police were summoned to a possible theft incident at 1:58 p.m. June 9.
Police said Justin Spall, 39, of 859 Glen Lane West, Chestnuthill Township, reported an Amazon package containing a robotic pool cleaner worth $800 was possibly stolen.
Police said the package was lost in shipping.
• Police said the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office declined to charge a person who was denied the purchase of a gun at a Chestnuthill business.
Police said the incident happened in January, 2022, when the person entered the Dunkelberger’s Sports Outfitter store at 1471 Route 209 and attempted to purchase a Smith and Wesson 9-mm pistol.
Police said the potential buyer filled out the firearms transaction records but was denied the purchaser after a store employee ran a background check through the Pennsylvania Instant Check System.
