Hunters experiencing delays on the first day of license sales

Hunting licenses and doe tags went on sale at 8 a.m. Monday under the new online system in Pennsylvania.

Hunters around the region are experiencing lines and delays as dealers try to access the system.

People can also buy licenses online, but that is slow as well. A person who tried to log in at noon for example was told there are 95,259 people ahead of him.

As of 8:42 a.m., the Pennsylvania Game Commission posted, “We are experiencing high volume on the HuntFishPA website at this time. Customers will be allowed to enter the site as transactions are completed. Alternately, you can visit a local agent location or PGC regional office.”

Hunters can enter their email address to be notified when it is their turn and then they have 10 minutes to complete the transaction.
