Carbon County Court Judge Joseph J. Matika has accepted three people into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program. Acceptance into the program is not an admission of guilt, and a person who successfully completes it may have his record expunged.
Dominick Lee Heller, 22, of Schererville, Indiana, was accepted for one year. He’ll pay $500 to offset the cost of the program, plus a $50 monthly supervision fee. His license is suspended for 60 days, and he was ordered to 50 hours of community service and to complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program.
Heller was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense; disregarding traffic lanes; resisting arrest; reckless driving; careless driving; and driving an unregistered vehicle on July 21, 2022.
Janelle LeeAnn Park, 28, of Slatington, was accepted for one year. She’ll pay $600 to offset the cost of the program, plus a $50 monthly supervision fee, surrender her license for 60 days, and perform 50 hours of community service.
Park was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, first offense; DUI under the influence of a controlled substance, first offense; possession of drug paraphernalia; driving without a license; and exceeding the 55 mph speed limit by 25 mph on Jan. 17.
Christopher A. Snyder, 23, of Lehighton, was accepted for one year. He’ll pay $550 to offset the cost of the program, plus a $50 monthly supervision fee and a $75 LiveScan fee; surrender his license for 60 days; enroll in a treatment intervention group; and perform 50 hours of community service work.
Snyder was charged with DUI, general impairment, incapable of driving safely; driving under the influence: highest rate of alcohol, first offense; accidental damage to unattended vehicle or property; reckless driving; careless driving; disregarding traffic lanes; failure to keep right; and failure to notify police of an accident on Dec. 10, 2022.
