Bertha Gersbach, originally from Slatington, and now a resident at the Summit Rehabilitation Center in Lehighton, celebrated her 100th birthday on June 15 with a birthday party held to mark the occasion.

The former Bertha Getz, she was married to the late Willard Gersbach. She has two sons Bill of Walnut Creek, California, and Fred, husband of Diane of Slatington. She has two grandchildren Eric and Leah.

She was the twin sister of Beatrice Long, as well as sister of Fred, Walter, Henry, Clarence, Curleigh, Robert, Leona Fisher, and Anita Becker, all deceased.
