The Friends of Tuscarora and Locust Lake State Parks next volunteer project is at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Tuscarora State Park.

Volunteers will car pool from the visitors’ center to the chestnut grove to remove wire fencing, metal rings and concrete from around the chestnut trees. Individuals should prepare to be in the woods and grass and should wear tick/insect repellent and eye protection. Gloves and wire cutters are also suggested.
