Pocono Raceway officials pitched in Thursday to lend a hand in efforts to reopen I-95 in Philadelphia.

Crews delivered a jet dryer and will be on standby if they are needed to dry the road before line painting takes place.

“We made it down to Philadelphia with our jet dryer,” Pocono Raceway posted on Twitter. “Thank you to the @PAStatePolice getting us to the I-95 bridge. We are here to help if called upon!”

Governor Josh Shapiro said 12 hours of dry weather are needed to complete the paving and striping process. With rain in the forecast, the state reached out to Pocono Raceway for help.”

State officials hope to reopen the section of I-95 by this weekend.
