A Coaldale woman faces animal cruelty charges after two cats were left inside a home in Lansford in April.
Rebecca Berger, 40, of East High Street, was charged after police were notified about two cats left inside a residence at 218 W. Water St. after the tenant moved, court papers said.
Police found property left behind by the previous tenant, identified as Berger, as well as a cat water and food dish, a full litter box and cat scratching post/climbing set, court papers said.
Two cats were trapped in the home and taken for medical examination.
A preliminary hearing on the charges is scheduled June 28 before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek.
