Saints Peter and Paul Parish, 260 North 3rd Street, Lehighton, announces the upcoming schedule:

• The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered on the Lord’s Day at Saints Peter and Paul Parish by the Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis, assisted by Deacon Joseph C. Wilhelm Jr., on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 7:45 a.m. and 10 a.m.

• Daily Masses are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 8 a.m. We welcome you, or welcome you back, to worship the Lord at our parish.

• The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is available on Mondays and Thursdays from 5 to 6 p.m., and 30 minutes before Masses on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Until the end of August, Adoration from noon to 9 p.m. and Confessions from 5 to 6 p.m. will take place on Thursdays. We still need adorers between 6 and 9 p.m.

Assistance

• Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Allentown is accepting appointments and walk-ins at the parish convent building every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Services include: individual, marriage, and family counseling; pregnancy and parenting support (counseling, material assistance such as diapers, wipes, baby items); and supportive services (case management, material assistance, emergency rental assistance, referrals).

• Our parish Saint Vincent de Paul Society hosts “Vincent’s Closet” by appointment in our former convent building on 242 N. 3rd Street. The society offers clothing and toiletries for those in need, and seeks donations of gift cards for local stores. Call the Rectory for more information.

Events

• The M & J Big Band will play a concert at the Mahoning Township Ambulance Building on Sunday, June 25. Heavy hors d’oeuvres served at 2 p.m.; concert from 3 to 5 p.m. BYOB. Tickets $25. Call the Rectory to reserve.

• Vacation Bible School will take place June 26 through June 30, 6 to 8 p.m. each day. Take a “Radical Ride” around the world with amazing angels and super saints. • Backyard Bash Block Party will take place July 21 and July 22 from 5 to 10 p.m. American and International foods, entertainment, children’s games, Bingo, clowns with balloons and face painting, raffles of gift cards and bicycles.
