The Lansford Borough Council reorganized in midyear, naming Robert Gaughan to serve as president on a 4-3 vote.

Councilman Joe Nihen called for the reorganization by motion and the voting block of he, Gaughan, Shawn Nihen and Dwight Penberth were successful in removing Rosemary Cannon as president.

Cannon, Gabe Fritz and Stanley Zwolenik voted against reorganization and against Gaughan as president.

Penberth was named vice president.
