The Lehighton Downtown Partnership invites the community to the Lehighton Borough Park Amphitheater at 9 p.m. Friday for a showing of “Encanto.”

“Movies in the park are great opportunities for outdoor family time and for kids to spend time with their friends now that school is out,” said LDP Promotions Chairwoman Leeann Koch.

Bring a lawn chair and/or blanket to enjoy movie. There will be treats available for purchase, including popcorn, snacks, candy and soda.

“Encanto” is a heartwarming tale that revolves around the multigenerational Colombian family, the Madrigals. The Madrigals are bestowed with magical gifts, enabling them to serve their community in the rural village of Encanto. However, Mirabel Madrigal, the only family member without magical powers, embarks on a quest to unravel the mystery behind the vanishing magic.
