Merkel knocks in two runs, with one of his hits a double, while Farole also finishes with two RBIs. Pat Dennis allows two first-inning runs, but throws shutout ball over the final six frames to earn the win. Dennis walks three and strikes out five in his seven innings of work. Dennis also helps his own cause with two hits, one a triple, and two RBIs, while Jared Ahner chips in with a pair of hits.
