Kern goes the distance on the mound, scattering seven hits in seven innings. He allows a first-inning run and then shuts down his opponent the rest of the way. Kern walks two and strikes out five. Cody Hallman leads the Chargers at the plate, finishing with two hits - one a double - and three RBIs. The winners, who take the lead with a two-run third inning, also receive a double and two runs from Travis Nelmes.
