Local Roundup: Results from June 10-11

The Berlinsville Braves split their two games over the weekend in Blue Mountain League action.

BLUE MTN. LEAGUE

Limeport-Berlinsville

The Palmerton battery of Luke Netznik and Cole Serfass helped the Berlinsville Braves gain an 8-3 Blue Mountain League victory over Limeport on Saturday.

Netznik went the distance on the mound, scattering eight hits and giving up three runs - two earned. He didn’t walk any and struck out five.

His catcher, Serfass, also helped him at the plate with a hit and an RBI.

Jim Thorpe graduate Noah Snisky contributed a hit, stole a base, scored a run and had three RBIs. The winners also received two hits and a run from both Owen Fischl and Rommel Perez.

For Limeport, Brian Robison finished with three hits and two RBIs.

Hellertown-Berlinsville

Hellertown snapped Berlinsville’s three-game winning streak by posting a 6-4 Blue Mountain League win on Sunday.

Ian Burley paced the Royals with three hits and two RBIs, while the winners also received a pair of hits from Jeff LaPorta.

Palmerton’s Luke Netznik and Northern Lehigh grad Cody Krupa both had a hit for the Braves, while Kyle Sincavage slugged a two-run homer. Jeff Higgins also contributed two hits and two RBIs.

The loss dropped the Braves to 5-6.

Palmerton-Northampton

Palmerton took an early lead, but it didn’t hold up as Northampton came back to win a 6-3 Lehigh Valley Connie Mack League game on Sunday.

N. Frantz had two hits, scored a run and knocked in one for the Bombers, who led 3-0 heading to the bottom of the third inning. Palmerton also received a hit and run from both D. Uhnak and M. Elliot.

Northampton - which scored five unearned runs in the contest - was led by Rusnock, who had a hit, an RBI, and scored two runs.

FT-Solehi Blue

Southern Lehigh Blue scored all its runs in one inning during a 6-5 Lehigh Valley Connie Mack League win over Franklin Township.

Alex Bedocs had two hits, one a double, and two RBIs for Franklin. Chase Llwellyn added a pair of hits and an RBI, while Braylon Hunsicker finished with a hit and two runs.

For the winners, Neith ended with a hit and two RBIs.
