The Lehigh-Carbon Community College, 4525 Education Park Drive, North Whitehall Township, had close to $50,000 stolen from it in April through a theft by deception/wire fraud action.

State police at Bethlehem are investigating and said the theft totaled $46,745.50.

It happened at 2:16 p.m. April 28 when someone hacked a network of one of the college’s vendors and changed its bank information for deposits.
