The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced the following road work this week:

Carbon County

• Parryville and Bowmanstown Boroughs, Lower Towamensing, and Franklin Townships: Route 248 pothole patching between Route 209 and Route 895, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday.

• Kidder Township and East Side Borough, Route 534 Hickory Run Road shoulder work/widening between Route 903 and Route 940, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday.

Lehigh County

• Various municipalities: I-78 construction between Exit 55 (Route 29) and Northampton County Line, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday.

• Various municipalities: I-78 construction between Exit 49 (Route 100) and Exit 54 (Route 222), 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday.

• Upper Saucon Township, Route 309 pothole patching between Bucks County line and Center Valley Parkway, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Upper Saucon and Upper Milford Townships: Vera Cruz Road/Brunner Road/Main Road/Saint Peters Road drainage between Route 309 and Berks County Line, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• South Whitehall Township: Cedar Crest Boulevard construction between Route 22 and Huckleberry Road, 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Wednesday.

Monroe County

• Chestnuthill and Jackson townships: Route 715 shoulder work/widening between Route 209 and Mountain Road, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Stroud Township, Cranberry Road roadway base repairs between Wigwam Park Road and Chipperfield Drive, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday.

• Hamilton and Stroud Townships: Cherry Valley Road shoulder work/widening between Route 191 and Route 115, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Northampton County

• Bethlehem, Lower Nazareth, Palmer, Plainfield, and Bushkill Townships; Stockertown and Wind Gap Boroughs: Route 33 brush cutting between Route 22 and Monroe County line, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Easton: Route 22 East inspection between 4th Street and 13th Street, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.

Schuylkill County

• Delano and Kline Townships: I-81 South pothole patching between Exit 138 (Route 209) and Exit 134 (Delano), 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

• Washington Township, Sweet Arrow Lake Road/Paradise Road bridge repair between Turkey Farm Road and Meadow View Road, all day from Monday to Aug. 11.
