Angela Hayes rings up a chicken dinner Saturday for a customer at the Kunkletown Fire Company stand at the annual West End Firefighters Festival, which was held Thursday through Saturday at the West End Fairgrounds. Food offerings include Elephant Ears, corn on the cob, barbecued chicken, hamburgers and fries and much more. When the sky was clear enough a helicopter would circle around the fairground and drop candy to the kids. In between the sprinkles, the rides were opened for the young ones. Several wine vendors offering free samples and beer were available from several vendors, as well as lots of food. The festival culminated with fireworks Saturday night. AMY LEAP/TIMES NEWS
