Lansford Alive announces schedule for concert series

Members of Lansford Alive announced the 2023 schedule of performances for its annual “Music in the Park” series. The concerts will be held in the John F. Kennedy Park at the gazebo located at the west end of the borough, next to the Panther Valley School District stadium.

Each concert will run from 6 to 8 p.m.

The concerts run June 4 through Aug. 28 with free admission. Refreshments are sold each week by area nonprofits and student groups. All proceeds from the refreshment stand will benefit Lansford Alive initiatives and area nonprofits.

Once again, the principal sponsor for the Music in the Park series is Community Bank, located at 12 W Ridge St, Lansford. Additional area businesses and nonprofits are invited to join as sponsors for individual dates/performers.

The annual music series is an activity of Lansford Alive, a nonprofit, all-volunteer charitable organization.

The concert series was launched 10 years ago by Marie Ondrus and the late Irma Leibensperger.
