Ben Salem UCC
Ben Salem UCC, 1965 Church Hill Rd, Lehighton will hold Sunday Worship Service at 9 a.m. for June, July, and August. Communion service will be the first Sunday of each month.

Strawberry Social is on June 11 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy good food and homemade shortcake topped with strawberries and ice cream, Bake sale, basket raffle, and music by Daybreak & Lost and Found.
Vacation Bible School will be held on June 19-22 from 6-8:30 p.m. The theme of Vacation Bible School is Shine Jesus’ Light.
June 23 is Family Fun Night from 6-9 p.m.
The Barnstormer Concert will be held at Ben Salem on July 8 at 7:30 p.m. Repertoire of Oldies, Pop, Show and Patriotic tunes. A free will offering will be accepted.
St. John’s Evangelical
St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mahoning, 826 Mahoning Drive West, Lehighton will hold worship service with Holy Communion at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday.

Vacation Bible School will be held June 26, 27 and 28, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Dinkey Church, Ashfield. The theme is “Food Truck Party.” Registration is encouraged. Call the St. John’s church office at 570-386-9960.

Trinity Happenings
First Friday Quiet Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, is Friday at 11 a.m.
First Saturday worship with Holy Communion is June 3 at 4 p.m.
Sunday worship with Holy Communion begins at 9:30 a.m. Communion is served by continuous line with wafer placed in your open hand, and wine or grape juice in a small cup. Gluten free wafers are available to those with allergy issues. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides.

The last in a series of 150th Anniversary events is Sunday at 3 p.m. Festival worship with Holy Communion and special musical offerings. Associate of the NEPA Synod bishop Rev. Carl Shankweiler presides. Rev. Moore assists. All are welcome to attend the worship service.
Community Vacation Bible School is Aug. 1-3 at 6 p.m. Sunday church school resumes Sept. 10.
For those desiring to schedule a baptism or desiring to seek membership at Trinity, please call the church office. Sessions are by appointment during the summer.
The Food Pantry continues to be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays (and third Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents in need who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive prepackaged supplemental food items. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pick up. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.
The Trinity Thrift Store hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays. Donation drop-offs are accepted during store hours on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, limited to five bags or boxes. Sales receipts support the food pantry. Looking ahead is Recognition of High School students June 11. The deadline to submit graduation information is June 7 by phoning the church office.
