Lehighton borough police conducted a traffic stop on Route 209 at the McCall Bridge at 1:15 p.m. May 16. A consent search of the vehicle turned up methamphetamine and related drug equipment.

The passenger involved in the stop, a 43-year-old woman from Lehighton, was taken into custody and transported to Lehighton Police Department, where she provided a statement.

Police said charges will be filed.
