A quick response by area firefighters kept damage to a minimum this morning in Slatington. The alarm came in around 9 a.m. at 105 Fifth St. with entrapment. Fire companies from throughout the area responded with the dwelling being involved just a half block from the Slatington fire company. Police and fire officials confirmed all of the occupants escaped the fire and were accounted for.
