Hrbek pitches 5 1/3 shutout innings, allowing two walks while striking out seven. He knocks in one run with a fielder’s choice and also delivers a two-run triple. The Bears, coached by Charlie Inserra, receive a two-run double from John Guadagna and two-run singles from both Tom Agosta and Rob Getz. Troy Van Houten finishes with three hits, while Adrian Concepcion ends with two.
