It looks like there will be a contest in November for Schuylkill County Court of Common Pleas judge to fill the spot of retired judge William Baldwin.

Both candidates, Democrat Michael O’Pake and Republican William L. Burke are crossfiled.

O’ Pake, currently Schuylkill County district attorney, is leading on the Democratic ticket, with 5,672 votes votes to Burke’s 2,021.

On the Republican ballot, Burke has 10,286 to O’ Pake’s 5,683.
