Lehighton borough truck damaged in crash

Minor injuries were suffered following a two-car crash involving a Lehighton Borough truck Monday morning in Lehighton.

Lehighton Borough Police were dispatched at 8:15 a.m. to the Mahoning and Sixth street intersection by Carbon County Communications Center for a motor vehicle crash rollover with entrapment.

Upon arrival, police saw a white sedan traveling west on Mahoning Street and a white Lehighton Borough pickup truck resting on its passenger side off the road on South Sixth Street facing north.

All occupants of the vehicle were out and were sitting on the side of the road by the time police arrived.

Police said four juveniles, including a 10-year-old boy, 8-year-old boy, 7-year-old girl, and 6-year-old boy along with a 29-year-old woman, all from Lehighton, were in a 2022 Toyota Camry, and one 68-year-old man from Lehighton in a 2007 Ford F250.

Police said the Ford F-250 went through the stop sign without clearance and was hit by the Camry.

Both vehicles involved in the incident had disabling damages and were towed from the scene by All-Points Towing.

All occupants were transported to St. Luke’s Carbon Campus with minor injuries.
