My name is Jean Papay. I am the Carbon County Register of Wills/Clerk of Orphans’ Court, and I currently work with Sheriff Dan Zeigler. Dan Zeigler has proven he possesses the skills and qualities to run to Sheriff’s office professionally.

Dan Zeigler is currently serving as the Carbon County Sheriff and has performed the job duties exceptionally well. Dan has shown great work ethic and has brought a new vision to the Sheriff’s office. Since taking on the role as sheriff, he has implemented online sheriff sales, online carry permit license, active shooter response training for all Carbon County law enforcement, and conducted out of state extraditions of fugitives with staff, instead of an outside service, which was a huge savings for the taxpayers. These are just some of the accomplishments in the short time he has taken on the role of the Sheriff.
