Letter to the Editor: Supports O’Gurek for district magistrate

It is with great pride that I take this opportunity to express my support for my lifelong friend Billy O’Gurek in the upcoming primary election for the position of judge of Magisterial District Court #56-3-03. Billy is a man of great conviction, dedication, and determination all of which are important attributes for someone seeking such an office.

Strong in his faith and desiring to make a difference in our community, he is a loyal supporter of events which strive to have a great impact in our community. From volunteering with his parish church and community Little League to being a role model in his role as a high school football coach, he has continually impacted others through his conviction towards supporting worthy causes. Dedicated to service, Billy has worked hard to make the Borough of Summit Hill a better place throughout his tenure on borough council. He has been a strong advocate for working to improve the community by ensuring the borough remains a good steward of taxpayer dollars and pushed to bring about recent changes to how blight is being addressed within our borough. His job with the Pennsylvania Auditor General’s Office has also tasked him with the duties associated with ensuring transparency in how government entities spend their money.

As a determined supporter of justice and equity for all residents of this area through his ongoing works of community advocacy, Billy embodies the disposition necessary to be a fair and honest judge in a magisterial court setting. As our local area has seen considerable changes, this position requires someone willing to work hard with true integrity and duty. Considering these realities, I am proud to endorse Billy O’Gurek for this elected position.
