Supports Dodson for district magistrate

I’ve known Beth Dodson for nine years, having worked as her legal/administrative assistant at BNYMellon. She was an excellent listener, compassionate in her work, detailed, demonstrating integrity and patience. Beth is an exceptional candidate for Carbon County’s magisterial district judge, and will be committed to her constituents, ruling fairly and appropriately, following the laws applicable to the varied caseload.

Beth proudly grew up and was primarily educated in the Carbon County area. As magistrate, she would be focused on building on the community, contributing to law and order.

Beth has practiced law for almost 20 years, representing diverse clients (private individuals, celebrities, small companies, major institutions, et al.), in PA and nationally. She is committed to the challenges of complex cases, thoroughly researching the facts and applicable laws, to make fair, legal decisions.

Beth has been a major proponent of pro bono work, being coordinator for BNYMellon’s pro bono program, and serving in various capacities on Allegheny County’s Pro Bono program’s executive board. These programs were critical to underserved community members, who may not have had access to legal services (e.g.: The Wills Clinic, Name Change, Criminal Record Expungement, Election Protection, etc.). Beth was proactive in identifying and creating programs where needs were not fulfilled (e.g.: Financial Literacy).

In addition to all her professional work and accomplishments, Beth was involved in community projects, as well as participated in trivia nights, and adult leagues (bowling, volleyball and shuffleboard), while still finding time to dote on her adorable Frenchies and Bulldog.

Quoting Mark Twain, “Character is the architect of achievements.” Beth’s character and achievements exemplify who she is. She would serve Carbon County well. I have been fortunate to have work for her and call her my friend. She would be a tremendous asset for upholding the law.
