State police at Lehighton

State police at Lehighton announce the following incidents:

• A 26-year-old Lehighton man was charged with assault after an incident at 5:52 p.m. April 16 along Interchange Road in Towamensing Township.

Police said the victim is a 24-year-old woman from Lehighton who told them they were involved in an argument that turned physical when the man grabbed her by the neck.

• A 40-year-old Allentown man was cited with harassment after they were summoned at 3:12 p.m. April 20 to East Ridge Street in Lansford.

Police said he had a fight with his girlfriend, a 30-year-old woman from Lansford.

• Police were summoned at 10:07 a.m. May 3 to a property on Gun Club Road in Towamensing Township.

Police said the simple trespass incident was in regards to neighbors and property issues.

• Police were summoned at 4:14 p.m. April 16 to a property on West Kline Avenue, Lansford, after an 8-year-old girl threatened to harm herself and her family with a knife.

She was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Carbon, Mahoning Township, for mental health assistance, police said.

• A 53-year-old Kunkletown man is the victim of a theft by deception case. Police said they were summoned at 4 p.m. April 25 to a property on Interchange Road in Towamensing Township where the victim reported he was scammed online and had $2,120 taken from his bank account.

• A 27-year-old woman from Lansford was cited for harassment after police were summoned at 12:49 a.m. April 19 to a property at 135 W. Ridge St., Lansford.

Police said the woman physically harassed a 36-year-old man.

• Police cited a 21-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman, both from Effort, after they responded to a domestic dispute at 2:36 a.m. April 30 at the intersection of Laurel Lane and Gernerd Road in Polk Township.

Police said the two physically harassed each other during the dispute within their common residence.
