A Hazleton man is facing driving under the influence charges after he crashed his vehicle into a curb on the McCall bridge in Lehighton.

Lehighton Borough Police responded at 8:35 p.m. May 2 for reports of an erratic driver in a white Sedan that hit a curb on the McCall bridge.

The vehicle was observed in the parking lot of Super Gomas along Route 209.

Police made contact with the 34-year-old driver who showed signs of impairment.

Field Sobriety Tests were conducted and the man was transported to St. Luke’s Carbon for a blood draw.

Criminal charges are pending the results of the blood analysis.
