James Kryzmalski, 39, Tamaqua, is in jail on charges that he sexually assaulted a female when she was a teenager, Tamaqua police said.
According to police, the victim told her friend about the assaults, which occurred in 2018 and 2019 when the victim was 15- and 16-years-old. The friend, in turn, contacted authorities in February.
Police interviewed the victim, who told officers that Kryzmalski forced her to have sex “because no one else would give it to him.”
Police then spoke to Kryzmalski, who subsequently admitted that he could not control himself. He told police he assaulted the victim on two different occasions.
He was charged with two counts of statutory sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault, two counts of indecent exposure and corruption of minors.
Kryzmalski was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer of Tamaqua, who set bail at $100,000 straight. He was unable to post bail and was remanded to the Schuylkill County Prison.
