A Freeland woman faces several misdemeanor and summary charges after fleeing the scene of two incidents Tuesday morning in Jim Thorpe borough.

Jim Thorpe Police Chief Joe Schatz said a vehicle driven by Tammy Lee Seguin, 53, struck a vehicle on Center Street and a Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit bus on North Street before Seguin fled the scene on foot.

Officers were dispatched to the first crash, Schatz said, shortly after 8:30 a.m.

Police located Seguin and took her into custody before transporting her to St. Luke’s Carbon Campus for a mental health evaluation.

No injuries were reported as a result of the hit-and-run incidents.
