State police have released more details on a shooting Saturday afternoon on Hahns Dairy Road in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County.

Troopers from the Lehighton barracks were dispatched the residence for a report of a person who had been shot. Police said the victim was at his residence when a vehicle arrived. The victim went outside where a confrontation led to the shooting, police said. The suspect then fled the scene. No information was released about the victim or his condition.

Police said the investigation remains active.

They stressed there is no threat to the general public, as this was an isolated incident. If anyone has

any information relative to the investigation, they are encouraged to contact PSP Lehighton at 610-681-1850.

Hahns Dairy Road was closed while police investigated.
