LVHN partners with Pocono Family YMCA

Lehigh Valley Health Network announced it will join the Pocono Family YMCA in a major partnership that will help bring even more health and wellness access to the Pocono region.

Last month at their annual meeting, the Pocono Family YMCA announced a $16.4 million expansion project that is expected to break ground next year. As part of this project, Lehigh Valley Health Network will have a dedicated wing in the new building with a family medicine practice and an adult and pediatric rehabilitation practice.

In addition to these on-site practices, LVHN plans to work closely with the YMCA to roll out a variety of health and wellness programming. “This is a tremendous partnership, and we are very excited at the vast potential it has to fill the health needs of this community,” says Cornelio Catena, President of Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH) - Pocono. “Although, we have some time until the new facility is up and running, we are eager to begin this newly enhanced collaboration in the coming months.”.

The decision to partner is one that came easily to both parties. “LVHN and the YMCA share common values, as well as a mission to care for our community, so working together was a given,” says Scott Peckins, President and CEO of the Pocono Family YMCA. “We look forward to the many resources LVHN will bring to the table to help us expand our programming.”.
