Kinsley’s workers featured on cereal box
“Once again Kinsley ShopRite employees went over and above when came to the annual ShopRite Partners In Caring Cheerios Contest in partnership with General Mills,” said Chris Kinsley, the store’s owner.
“Thanking all the Kinsley family members and the Brodheadsville store associates, along with General Mills, we were able to unveil a special-edition Cheerios box featuring the winners of the annual ShopRite Partners In Caring Cheerios Contest, sponsored in partnership with General Mills,” said Steven Hilder, the program manager.
Angela Kinsley, Melinda Collister, John Lim and Hannah Havansky were associates from the ShopRite of Brodheadsville who were chosen to be featured on the cereal box.
Other ShopRite stores will be featured on the box, which will be unveiled at an in-store ceremony, in recognition of their fundraising efforts
Representatives of Second Harvest Food Bank of Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania.
“It’s a tradition that recognizes ShopRite associates for fighting hunger in the communities where they serve. ShopRite of Brodheadsville is the top fundraising store this year, raising nearly $43,000,” Kinsley said.
ShopRite associates across hundreds of stores compete each fall in a friendly competition sponsored by ShopRite and General Mills, the annual “ShopRite Partners In Caring Cheerios Contest.
“With this year’s contest theme, “Ending Hunger Together,” serving as backdrop, ShopRite associates once again gave their all as they came together to collect donations at checkout, helping raise over $1 million for regional food banks,” Hilder said.
The 52 top fundraising ShopRite stores select associates to be featured on special-edition Cheerios boxes, sold exclusively at ShopRite and during in-store celebrations March-May. Each winning store will also receive prize money of $3,000 for the top five stores, and $500 for the remaining winning stores to be donated to local food pantries chosen by the respective store teams.
