State police at Bethlehem

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported on several cases:

• Police responded to a drug overdose case at 10:24 a.m. March 12 on Elm Tree Drive in Washington Township.

Police said two people were lethargic and showed signs of impairment, one of which was transported to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township.

Police said drugs were found at the scene.

• Bartosz Burda, 23, of Orefield, was charged with driving under the influence by state police at the Bethlehem barracks after a crash at 12:24 a.m. Dec. 21, 2022.

Police said he was driving a 2006 Honda Accord at the intersection of Route 309 and Orefield Road in North Whitehall Township.

Police did not provide the details of the incident but said a 56-year-old woman from Lehighton was one of the victims.

• A 44-year-old Palmerton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop.

Police said he was stopped for numerous traffic offenses while driving a 2023 Mitsubishi at 2:15 a.m. Feb. 18 at the intersection of Schoenersville and Grove roads in Hanover Township.

• A 69-year-old Slatington man was charged with driving under the influence after they responded to a vehicle fire at 9:12 p.m. Feb. 23.

It happened at the intersection of Clover Hollow and Swamp Hollow roads in Washington Township and involved a 2005 Subaru Forester.

• Ronald Duch, 55, of Allentown, is facing charges of violation of a Protection From Abuse order that is against him after state police at the Bethlehem barracks were summoned to a residence on Telford Court in Washington Township at 10:24 a.m. March 18.

Police said the victim is a Slatington woman.

• A 23-year-old Lehighton man is facing a charge of criminal mischief after police were summoned to an incident at 8:04 p.m. April 6.

The victim, a 22-year-old Lehighton man, told them the man, who police did not identify, punched and damaged the windshield of his 2001 Chevrolet, causing $200 in damages.

The incident took place at Rextown and Welshtown roads in Washington Township.

• Police arrested Richard Kutzler, 48, of Walnutport, for violating a Protection From Abuse order.

Police said they were called at 9:32 a.m. April 14 to the 7,000 block of Northgate Drive, Washington Township, where Kutzler was observed in front of a prohibited residence. The victim is a 49-year-old woman from Slatington.
