Seven members of the Panther Valley School Board voted unanimously last night to appoint Marie Kutza to the vacant seat on the board reserved for a resident of Coaldale’s Middle Ward.

Kutza assumed the seat most recently held by Faye R. Lewis, whom resigned in February.

The director is actually returning to the board, having held the seat from 1987-95. She held the presidency for the final two years of her term and did not seek re-election to it. After her appointment, she indicated she plans to seek election to the two years remaining on the term.

Marie is the wife of Frank Kutza of 240 E. Phillips St.
