A 22-year-old Barnesville man died in a one-vehicle crash at 2:14 a.m. Saturday on Route 54 in Ryan Township.

State police at Frackville said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened about 600 feet east of Tunnel Road when the 2014 Ford F-150 was westbound on Route 54 and the man lost control of the vehicle. The truck went off the road and struck multiple trees and a utility pole, coming to rest blocking the westbound lane and facing east.

Firemen from Ryan and Rush townships, the Ryan Township EMS unit and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation employees assisted police at the scene.
