The Panther Valley School Board on Wednesday handled a number of personnel matters, including:
• Hired Heather Rodriguez as a paraprofessional at the elementary school effective April 20 at a rate of $10 an hour per the contract.
• Hired Joseph Henry as a short-term substitute at the elementary school effective May 8 through the end of the 2023-2024 school year at the current rate of $130 a day.
• Posted the position of temporary assistant in the Special Education Office at a rate of $15 an hour not to exceed 90 hours of summer work.
• Posted the position of assistant to the school psychologist at a rate of $40 an hour not to exceed 100 hours. Applicant must be able to work 2 to 3 p.m.
• Approved Robert Palazzo to present at the NAESP Conference in Baltimore, Maryland, at a cost of $1,747.
The board also approved the following appointments and moves:
• Volunteers/chaperones for 2022-2023: John Alves, Jessica Green, Daniel Tristani, Alicia Vazquez, Melissa Gillette, Shantel Lauer, Dian Gomez, Agustin Gomez, Kerry Uher, Megan Winter, Korin Strohl, Regina Brossman.
