Schuylkill art center to hold summer camp

Have your kiddos spend a fun and creative week at the Walk In Art Center this summer.

This summer is “Wild About Art” and for four weeks the WIAC will be filled with kids learning about animals and their habitats while they create animals of their own. They will take virtual journeys to Africa, the Far East, Australia, and beyond.

Camps begin on July 10 and run each weekday through Aug. 18.

There are two camp options for each age group; PreK & K, grades 1-3, grades 4-5, and grades 6-8. Parents should register their children based on their grade in the Fall of 2023.

Each class is a weeklong for 3 hours in either a morning or afternoon session. Each session in each age group focuses on different animals, so students can enroll in both sessions with unique content.

To register, parents should visit walkinartcenter.org and click the class information button, or they can call 570-732-3728 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for more information or register via the phone.

There are a limited number of scholarships available so please inquire at information@walkinartcenter.com.

The WIAC’s Summer Art Camps are sponsored by Ameriprise Financial and a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.

Keep up with WIAC events, art classes, family events, and more by visiting the WIAC Facebook page at facebook.com/walkinartcenter or visit walkinartcenter.org.

The Walk In Art Center Main Gallery & Artist Market are open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturdays from 1-5 p.m. It is located at 220 Parkway, Schuylkill Haven.
