State police at Frackville
State police at Frackville reported on the following incidents:
• Police said they were called to a property in Kline Township where it was reported nude photographs of a 13-year-old girl from McAdoo were disseminated on social media between midnight Feb. 1 and 4:45 p.m. March 21. The investigation remains active.
• Police are investigating a burglary reported at 2:37 p.m. March 31 at a property along Grier Avenue in Rush Township.
Police said a 58-year-old woman from Merrifield, Virginia, reported someone accessed the interior of the residence.
• Police were summoned to the SCI in Frackville at 1:55 p.m. April 4 to investigate a sexual harassment report.
Police said they were told the harassment involved an inmate and a staff member, but said their investigation resulted in the report being unfounded.
• A 41-year-old Barnesville man was cited for harassment after police were called to Market Street in Blythe Township at 8:15 p.m. April 7. Police said the man and a 37-year-old woman from Cumbola became engaged in a physical altercation the night before. The man pushed, grabbed and spit on the woman multiple times, as well as striking her with her cellphone, smashing it.
The phone is valued at $150, police said.
• David Conahan, 41, of McAdoo, is facing charges of retail theft/shoplifting after police were called to the Walmart store in Hometown.
Police said between 2 a.m. Feb. 1 and 5:06 a.m. March 6, Conahan used a bar code for a retail item valued at $1.36 in place of scanning a higher valued item at the self checkout machines in the store.
The store lost $309.19 in sales, police said.
• A 28-year-old Hazleton man is facing drug possession charges as a result of a traffic stop.
Police said they stopped the man while he was driving a 2011 Chevrolet for Title 75 violations at 12:59 a.m. April 8, after which time several indicators of criminal activity were detected.
Following a consent search of the vehicle, police uncovered marijuana and related paraphernalia.
