Henritzy is a candidate for magisterial district judge

Kirk D. Henritzy announces his candidacy for Magisterial District Judge in 56-3-03.

“I’m running because I love the people of Carbon County; they shaped me growing up. My parents were educators that have influenced me to work hard and helped to teach me common sense. I had a great education at the Lehighton Area School District. I have learned many life lessons from my teachers, especially following your dreams. I have been inspired by my cousin, Irene Hudasky, who previously served as a judge in the same district.”

Henritzy said he’s had many careers. “And each one has prepared me for the position in its own way.”

He enlisted in the U.S. Marines in 1999, serving four years of active duty.

“As a Marine, I learned to be resolute and the importance of teamwork. And, yes, of discipline, when needed. The objectives of the Marine Corps are mission accomplishment and troop welfare. I care about the welfare of people. Once I had rose among the ranks, I learned that respect is earned and cannot be demanded. One needs to hold themselves to a high standard to set an example to be a true leader.”

He had experience as a mixologist in bars and hotels, “allowing me to study human nature in a way that few others ever get to do. Everyone confides in their bartenders. It gave me an opportunity to observe people. This made me a more empathetic person, one who tries to help others ease their burdens.”

He worked in the family business. “I’ve labored as a blue collar man, the people who fuel our region’s and our country’s success. I can relate to the blue collar worker.

“In short, I’ve worked with just about every cross-section of America. I know what high community standards we have. I know that hard times hit everyone and sometimes we make mistakes. So, as a judge, I’d do everything within my power to make this an even better place to live,” he said.

“Please vote in the primary on May 16.”
