Peter Bashago was seated as Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge No. 1337, Lansford, during installation ceremonies held Sunday at the lodge. He will succeed John Humphries III as the head of the local organization.

Other officers who were installed include Frank Serina, leading knight; Daniel Pierce, loyal knight; Edward Flyzik, lecturing knight; Emmett McCall, secretary; William Boyle, treasurer; John Humphries Jr. and Edward Boyle, trustees, and Joseph Novak, tiler.

Appointed officers include John Humphries III, esquire, Robert Ames, chaplain; and Thomas Barrett, inner guard.

The new officers were installed by an installation team from the Tamaqua lodge.
