New officers and directors of the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce were installed by Clarence Hess, who served as president of the chamber in 1956.

The new president is William H. Fegley, who is succeeding Robert F. Miller. He will be joined by the following other officers: K. Brian Amon, first vice president; Thomas Wieszkowiak, second vice president; Lee Shafer, third vice president; D. Edward Weaver, treasurer; and William M. Gillespie, secretary.

Incoming directors are Lena D’Amico, Charles Konkolics and Shafer, who will join directors Dennis McLaughlin, Rev. Leland Pritchard, Wieszkowiak, Thomas Kochie, Donald Matalavage, June Zubey and William Ross.

Retiring board members include Lew Erbe, Troy Yost and Charles Buffington.
