Several fire companies responded to a brush fire around 5 p.m. Tuesday in West Penn Township to the rear of a home along Archery Club Road. Quick response by fire personnel maintained the fire to a small area. Fire companies from West Penn, New Ringgold and Tamaqua responded. West Penn fire police maintained traffic control.
