April 7, 1998 - Panther Valley gains a sweep of Mahanoy Area in Schuylkill League track action, as the PV boys post a 92-58 win and the girls finish with an 81-58 victory. Noel Abadia leads the way for the Panthers in the boys competition, taking three events. Abadia captures the 200, 400 and high jump. The PV girls receive a pair of firsts from both Kristin Blazosky and Lacey Gonzalez. Blazosky claims the javelin and triple jump, while Gonzalez crosses first in the 800 and 1600.
