An Andreas man is dead following a crash Thursday afternoon in West Penn Township.

Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said that William J. Reed, 46, was pronounced dead at 5:15 p.m. Thursday in the Emergency Department at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest Campus.

Buglio said the cause of death is multiple blunt force injuries due to motor vehicle collision.

He said the manner of death was accidental.

Reed was the driver of a vehicle that veered off the roadway into a ditch at around 1:45 p.m. in the 300 block of Lizard Creek Road, West Penn Township.

The West Penn Police Department is also investigating.
