Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on March 30 with 21 members in attendance. President Mary Bittle opened the meeting with the reading “That Is What I Know.”

The group meets every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Coaldale Complex. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.

St. Peter’s West Penn

April 9: Easter Sunday: 6:30 a.m. Easter Dawn Service, Celebration of Holy Communion (breakfast) 9 a.m. Worship Service, Celebration of Holy Communion

April 10: 7:15 p.m. Play practice

April 11: 6 p.m. Prayer Group

April 12: 9 a.m. Retirees, 6 p.m. Alaska Trip Presentation. All are welcome

April 13: 6 p.m. Cherub Choir rehearsal. 7 p.m. Senior Choir rehearsal

April 16: 9 a.m. Worship Service, 10:15 a.m. Sunday school, 2 p.m. Service at St. Luke’s Coaldale 5th Floor, 6 p.m. Girl Scouts

Calvary Lewistown

The 10:25 a.m. worship service will be led by Kent O. Heisler with Terry D. Gerber offering the message at Calvary Evangelical Church, Lewistown Valley. Special music will be provided at the Easter service by the Gerber girls.

There will also be a 6:30 a.m. Easter sunrise service by the New Ringgold Ministerium Churches at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle. Service is rain or shine.

Sunday school is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. There is no evening service this Sunday. Prayer and share resumes on April 12 at 7 p.m.

Rummage Sale

St. John UCC at 150 Pine St., Tamaqua is having a rummage sale on April 22 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and April 24 from 9 a.m.- noon.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate the Easter Sunday service at Zion Church Lewistown Valley. Communion will be included with this service. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. There will be an Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle.

Women’s Bible Study will resume on Monday, April 10.

American Primitive

The Rev. Rick Clemson will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service Sunday in American Primitive Methodist Church. Sunday school scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Recorded message is available at www.facebook.com/PMChurch Tamaqua.
